Kalpáky honours Messinia's heritage by supporting local communities and sharing
its traditions.
Messinia is a region full of rugged mountain landscapes and dreamy beaches.
In between are olive trees - a lot of them.
Without respectful compensation,
local communities have become smaller.
While traditions remain,
there are fewer people to celebrate them.
Villages now only blossom during the harvest season.
The olive tree once let these communities flourish, but modern industry has left them to wilt.
The olive tree is an archaic symbol -
bridging nature and culture across the Mediterranean.
Pappou and yiayia represent all pappoudes and yiayiades that worked tirelessly and sacrificed so their (grand)children could have a brighter future.
Kalpáky aims to honour Messinia’s heritage by sharing its stories, flavours, and supporting local communities.
If you decide to purchase Kalpáky’s olive oil and support our
λόγος, ήθος, and πάθος - thank you.
